Here’s an easy guide on how to beat up Jed the Mechanic.

How To:

1. Jed shows up at 7 – 8 PM right after giving Katey Zombrex. Therefore, you must first clear Case 0-1 to get the Zombrex.
2. At the safehouse’s convenience store, there is a door leading to a small room with a ladder going to the roof. Go up the roof and pick up a sniper rifle.
3. Climb down the ladder, and climb back up to get another sniper rifle. Repeat until you have one empty inventory space.
4. Go in the convenience store and pick up some orange juice, just in case.
5. Give Katey the Zombrex between 7 – 8 PM.
6. Your fight with Jed will now commence. Hide behind cars. Pop in and out of the open to give him an opportunity to try to shoot you with his Boomstick. After he shoots (and likely miss you), he must pump his shotgun, giving you an opportunity to shoot him with a sniper rifle.
7. Repeat until he gets owned.

Warnings:

• Avoid getting close to him, as he will use a powerful melee attack.
• Do not be afraid to drink orange juice! If you happen to get injured, just run in the convenience and grab a drink. After replenishing your health, just go back outside and continue the fight.

Facts:

• Jed the Mechanic is a possible reference to “Ted the Mechanic” written by Deep Purple.
