Kongregate - Mud and Blood 2 - "Bunker? I 'ardly knew 'er!" Achievement Guide

Site Kongregate
Game Mud and Blood 2
Achievement "Bunker? I 'ardly knew 'er!"
Description Survive for 50 waves while suffering 10 casualties or fewer
Value 30 Points

With your small group of soldiers, you must last 50 waves of German opposition while sustaining less than 10 Allied deaths.

How To:
  1. Spread your starting men out near the bottom. Try to keep them evenly dispersed.
  2. Wait several rounds until you can afford a Spec Ops unit. When you do have enough (5 Tactical Points), bring one into the battlefield. Place him slightly higher than your soldiers.
  3. Wait and accumulate 4 more Tactical Points. Recruit a Bazooka. Keep him near the the bottom line of soldiers.
  4. Wait and accumulate 4 more Tactical Points. Recruit an Engineer. Again, keep him near the bottom line of soldiers;
  5. Wait and accumulate 5 more Tactical Points. Bring your engineer to the bottom-left of the battlefield and make a Camonet.
  6. Position all your Soldiers and your Engineer in the structure. Leave the Spec Ops and Bazooka as they were.
  7. Wait more rounds. Buy up to two more Spec Ops when you earn enough Tactical Points.
  8. After your Spec Ops, wait and accumulate 5 more points to create another Camonet. Place this one somewhat near the middle-right side of the battlefield, higher than the one already built.
  9. Bring your Spec Ops and and Bazooka over to the newly made Camonet.
  10. Recruit Snipers and keep them low or equip your experienced soldiers with BARS. Wait out the German attacks and you will most likely be successful.
Tips:
  • If you're given the opportunity to capture a supply crate, send a Soldier or Spec Ops to capture it, then order him to return to his original location.
  • Supply crates may give very useful rewards, such as Tactical Points.
  • If a soldier is wounded or die unluckily near the beginning waves, then restarting the game would be a nice timesaver.
Warnings:
  • This strategy has a two out of three chance (on a good day) of working. Random things can occur in the field of war, so don't expect to earn this achievement on your first try.
  • Unfortunately, if a soldier is wounded, it would be better to just leave him. For this guide to work properly, it is more efficient to save up points to buy more units than to risk investing on Medics.
  • Keep your Camonets on the lower half of the battlefield because they can easily be blown away by enemy explosives.
  • Camonets are necessary to avoid artillery strikes. Artillery starts firing when 6 or more soldiers are exposed and not hiding in Camonets.
